OUR STORY
Isabela Province is where the biggest supply of rice in Northern Luzon comes from. It’s also the biggest supplier of corn in the country, earning its titles “Rice Granary of Northern Luzon” and “Corn Capital of the Philippines.” It’s in the Cagayan Valley region and in the middle of Cagayan Province, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Aurora the Philippine Sea.
My mother is a well-known vendor of Isabela’s Delicacy which is our product now since we moved here to Isabela from Laguna, we have learned to make sticky rice more than 15 years from now.
City of Ilagan is one of the municipalities here in Isabela with the best producers of Isabela’s delectable sticky rice delicacies.
One of our product is Binallay, a native suman delicacy of the province made of sticky rice flour and wrapped in banana leaves with latik sauce when it serve. Moriecos, this is the rice cake that is stuffed with latik or caramelized young coconut or ground nuts, steamed and wrapped in fresh banana leaf. Inatata , whole glutinous rice that’s a bit sweet and wrapped in small cylinders made of banana leaves also cooked by steaming. They’re tied in batches, ten per batch, and it resembles a magazine of bullets when tied. Also, we have extra product which is Biko placed in styro or it can be in bilao and Patupat with a bit sweet or sour wrapped also in banana leaves.
We promoted and sell our own business/product within City of Ilagan, but we are looking forward to expand the size of our market all over in the Province of Isabela . Since there is a pandemic due to covid,we can no longer sell our product outside Ilagan, due to the lack of transportation that we can travel or deliver our product to the other municipalities because there is a Health protocol that is implemented here in our province.
Our product is well-known in our municipality as well as in Isabela, and it is undeniable that there are many competitors in its sale and manufacture. But since we can see that online selling using social media platform is widespread, I was able to think of promoting our own product with a low price using social media platform and I will be making Fb Page/ Website for promoting our own business.
We can also offer our product by reselling it and we will be your dealer, and surely you have a discount if you will be our reseller. We can also made to order especially in occasions like weddings, christenings, birthdays and any occasions that is really in-demand like in the month of March/April which is the Holy Week and month of November which is Soul’s Week, also in the month of December for special occasions like Christmas and New Year.
We can easily transact to all our customers by using social media platform. All our customers can easily visit our Fb page and this website to see all the product offer with the price in it, we can also offer a promo with our product.
I can be the one to manage our business using social media by putting all the pictures there and I will be the one to transact with them on how to order and on how to deliver it to them. We don’t have our own transportation to deliver our product, but we are looking forward to have our own transportation so that we can easily deliver it to the other municipalities.
